Project Information
For this project, I wanted to direct on the threat of Climate change. I researched climate change, global warming, carbon emissions, carbon footprints, and how the government takes part. I created an essay on how we affect climate change throughout our everyday tasks and what we can do to change and make a difference. I then created an infographic that shows how democrats and republicans act on climate change differently. Lastly, I created an art piece that shows our effect on climate change through carbon admissions.
Reasoning
I incorporated the thinking skill of reasoning throughout this project in various aspects. I wanted this project to show how we are the cause of climate change and how we justify it. I also show how the government is also responsible for the global issue of climate change. I also wanted to raise awareness of how our actions have a more significant effect than we think and how we need to change our daily habits for our future generations.
Found Citizenship
For the history portion of this project, I focused on climate change's political aspect and how different political parties have different views on climate change. I did a series of research on both parties and how they handle the threat of climate change. After my research, I organized it and created an infographic. I choose to funnel down to 5 main points and a critical question. The five points that I choose were The Green New Deal, Paris Climate Agreement, Clean Power Plan, Methane Flaring, and Quotes. The critical question that I answered what, Why do Democrats and Republicans handle Climate change differently. Below is my final infographic.
English lll
For the English portion of my project, I focused on the typical person and our daily habits that affect climate change. My goal of this essay was to raise awareness of climate change and make a change. I showed the reasoning behind the things we do and how they affect the future of our planet. I started the process of creating this essay with lots of research. I then took that research and made a bulleted list of everything I want to cover in my writing. After that, I used that Bulleted list and created an essay outline. After a series of drafts, I completed my final draft, which you can view below by clicking the button.
Portfolio
For my art piece, I created a landscape using acrylic paints. I started with creating the orange sky to represent the sky in California currently due to wildfires. Then I made my mountains, which are on fire due to climate change and global warming. Lastly, I created factories that show the reasoning behind climate change and how we affect it. Below you can see my final art piece.
